Experience the charm of candle making in Kilkenny’s historic Castleyard. Enjoy a complimentary glass of Prosecco as you learn to craft candles using eco soy wax and vegan fragrance oils. Create your own 220g soy candle and three 30g wax melts while savoring refreshments and nibbles. Collect your creations in one week or opt for our postal delivery.
In our workshops, you will learn about different types of waxes, wick sizes, fragrance oils, and the steps involved in making a soy candle from start to finish. You'll also gain insights into the importance of temperature and setting times.
No, all materials needed for the candle making process will be provided, including eco soy wax, a selection of vegan fragrances, and various candle vessels.
Each workshop runs for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, providing ample time to learn, create, and enjoy the experience.
Your candle takes time to settle and cure. Therefore your candle will be ready for collection 24 hours later, alternatively you can opt for your candle to be posted. We recommend that if you collect your candle 24 hours later that you don’t light it for 7 days. This allows the curing process to continue and will give you the best experience when lit! Your wax melts will be ready on the day for you to take away.
Our candle making workshops are suitable for adults and children over the age of 12, making it a great experience for families, friends, or even as a solo activity.
For groups of 6 and above the cost is €70 per person.
To maintain a personalized and interactive environment, we limit our workshops to small groups. You can book for individual sessions or groups of up to 12 participants.
